THE new guy in the rain

While others dashed for cover, he stood still in the rain

He showed up without an umbrella, just a thin jacket clinging to his shoulders and soaked sneakers slapping against the sidewalk.

Nobody knew his name. Nobody asked.

The office buzzed with whispers: "He’s the new guy.”
No resume chatter. No LinkedIn snooping. Just mystery… and a storm.

While others dashed for cover, he stood still in the rain, eyes closed—like he belonged to it. Calm. Focused. A little broken, maybe… but not afraid.

That’s when Mia from marketing noticed something:
He wasn’t avoiding the rain. He was listening to it.

And maybe—just maybe—he wasn’t running from anything.
Maybe he was learning how to stay.
